2. Frame:

  • The frame is made of steel plate by welding and stress-relieved to provide the good rigidity and the high strength. The stiffener is fitted at the crankshaft bearing. The oil basin and the oil pipeline system necessary for cool and lubrication are mounted into the frame.

3. Crank Shaft:

  • The crankshaft, a casted alloy steel eccentric shaft, is furnished with herringbone ring gear, connection rods and bearings. The ring gear bore and the crankshaft surface is of interference fit and fastened with bolts and lock nuts. The big end of each connection rod is mounted on each eccentric strap of the crankshaft via the single row short cylindrical roller bearing. The small end of each connection rod is mounted on the crosshead pin via the double row long cylindrical roller bearing. Double row radial spherical roller bearings are mounted at either end of the crankshaft.

4. Pinion Shaft:

  • The pinion shaft is made of forged alloy steel. A small herringbone gear with the medium-hard teeth surface is machined on the shaft surface. For the easy maintenance. Single row radial long cylindrical roller bearings without any inner, ring rib are used. Pinion shaft ends are prolonged, so that sheaves or sprockets can be mounted on either end.

5.Crosshead and Extension Rod:

  • The crosshead and the extension rod are made of ASTM A48-83 meehanite cast iron featuring the good abrasion resistance and the long service life. Upper and lower guides are used for F-800 and F-1000 mud pumps, the concentricity of both guides can be adjusted by adding shims under the lower guide. For F-500 mud pump, the guide cylindrical body is used. Flange-bolts with pin hole fit are used to connect the crosshead to the extension rod, the rigid connection ensures the concentricity of both the crosshead and the extension rod. The coupling is used to connect the extension rod to the piston rod; the light coupling enables these two rods to connect to each other easily and reliably.

Shear Relief Valve:

JA-3 type of shear relief valve is used for high pressure drilling rig operation and other medium (water or oil) with high pressure circuit system. To compare with spring type or diaphragm type of relief valve it has the following features:
  • It can be opened, closed and Reset simply;
  • Pressured piston area is small;
  • Be interchangeable and easy to be connected with other mud pump.

Cylinder Cover and Liner Cage:

  • Cylinder cover and liner cage for F series, 3NB series and other types of mud pump (Both British system or Public system).

Valve and Valve Seat:

  • Valve and valve seat are made of one-piece premium forged alloy steel, be provided with the good finish, accurate size. With the advanced heat treatment it features high ductility, high strength and the surface hardness is up to HRC58.
  • The seal of valve body is made of polyurethane or synthetic rubber and has high wear resistance and long service life.

Cylinder Head Cover:

  • Cylinder head cover, valve cover and flange for F series, 3 NB series and other types of mud pumps (Both British system, public system).

The Cylinder Assembly :

  • The Cylinder Assembly is made of forged alloy steel. The three Cylinders of each mud pump are interchangeable. The valve-over-valve is design to reduce the volume in the fluid end and improves the volumetric efficiency.

Flashboard assembly and fixed wedge:

Flashboard assembly and fixed wedge:

F-500, F-800 and F-1000 mud pumps are manufactured in accordance with the complete process technology imported from LTV Energy Product Company of the US in 1985. On the basis of the imported technology, F-1300 and F-1600 mud pumps are designed and manufactured conform to API specifications.

F-Series pumps are designed with long stroke length and relatively low strokes, so the suction performance and the increase of the service life of the expendable parts at the fluid end are achieved.

F-Series Pump Features:

  • Continuous tooth herringbone gear.
  • One-piece alloy steel crankshaft.
  • Renewable crosshead guides.
  • Frame fabricated with steel plate weldments.
  • Double compartmentalized construction for extension rod packing.
  • Utilizes the combination lubrication system of forced lubrication and splash lubrication.
  • The fluid end consists of three interchangeable forged valve over valve construction, which can be nickel plated according to users’ requirement.
  • Liners are positioned by screwed pot covers.
  • F-1300/1600 mud pumps are equipped with a hoisting device.
  • Easy replacement of liners.

F-Series Mud Pumps Spraying System:

The spraying system consists mainly of spray pump, cooling water tank and spray pipe, and the function is to cool and wash liners and pistons when the pump is running, prolonging their service life.

The centrifugal spray pump can be driven by a sheave mounted at the pinion end or a separate motor. The water is used as the cooling-lubrication fluid.

The spray pipe is mounted on the coupling between the extension rod and the piston rod and reciprocates with the piston. The nozzle is adjacent to the piston end; therefore, the cooling lubricating fluid can wash the contact surface of pistons and liners all the time. The durable fixed spray pipe may be used, too.

Lubricating System:

The power end is fitted with the combination lubricating system of forced lubrication and splash lubrication. The pressure oil is conveyed to crosshead, extension rod, crosshead guide and all bearings by a gear oil pump in the oil box via the lubricating pipe line for forced lubrication purpose. The working condition of the gear oil pump can be monitored with a pressure gauge behind the frame.
